The Nanjing image of status and the orientation of disadvantages and advantages are discussed in-depth in this article. Combined with the results of previous studies, we can say that " Green City, Love In Urban " is the description of Nanjing’s image. According on the Nanjing city government’s latest feature that the international orientation, it is important for us to focus on the city’s image of the media communication strategy, in particular to actively adapt to the new media environment, on the basis of a good full use of the traditional media. Festival activities, especially activities of international festivals held in the city’s image spread is enormous, Nanjing Youth Olympic Games 2014 spread its image of the city a rare opportunity. There are different effects at the different stages, Nanjing city image communicators should fully grasp the organization of the Olympic Green during the media focusing effect of the city, to do all the work spread image of Nanjing. Nanjing is rich on tourism resources, but has not been able to form a national system and the influence of tourism projects, in shaping and dissemination of the same image of the city of NanJing, Nanjing tourism image should focus on the spread and development, in order to support the overall image of the city of Nanjing. Crisis is the inevitable events however city is like to, how to deal with it becomes extremely important to deal with a good crisis may evolve into an opportunity to spread the image of the city, otherwise it will harm the development of the city. The traditional way of marketing communication in the new competitive environment can no longer meet the needs of the city’s image transmission, integration of various resources for only one voice communication to the complexity in today’s media environment, the case of information overload to achieve better dissemination of results.
