Abstract


The energy both a measure an important indicator of a country's comprehensive strength and people's living standards , but also to promote the main driving force of the development of the national economy . With China's rapid economic growth in recent years , the construction of all aspects of the country has made remarkable achievements . However , while economic growth is also accompanied by the contradiction between the huge consumer of energy and the increasingly serious environmental pollution , energy and the environment has become increasingly prominent . Therefore , how to realize the coordinated development of resources and environment issues of common concern in the world . This paper attempts to examine the convergence of China 's regional energy efficiency characteristics spillover effects in space perspective , and to explore the convergence of factors that affect the energy efficiency , so as to make reasonable suggestions for improving energy efficiency in China to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction . Firstly, starting from the theory of energy efficiency , and estimates of the energy efficiency of our region in 1998-2009 , to analyze the spatial distribution of China's energy efficiency . Second, the spatial econometric analysis methods proposed existence of spatial spillovers to verify and further explore the convergence of China 's regional energy efficiency features on this basis , the last of how to improve regional energy efficiency , energy conservation energy efficiency of China's regional suggestions . Through the analysis of the main conclusions of the paper are as follows: (1) Based on total factor energy efficiency perspective , this paper uses DEA method to calculate the energy efficiency of the various regions of China , the study results show that China 's energy efficiency presents from coastal areas to inland , by the eastern region to the western region of gradually decreasing pattern. ( 2 ) build a spatial lag and spatial error panel the model examine our regional energy efficiency space spillovers , studies have shown that China 's regional energy efficiency space spillovers . ( 3 ) consider spatial spillovers perspective , from the 1998-2009 regional energy efficiency not only exist in China as a whole , absolute convergence , convergence and the existence of conditions ; visits from a regional perspective , the energy efficiency of the eastern and central regions showed the convergence characteristics of the club the western region did not show obvious club convergence characteristics .
