Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is widely from the 1990s , the rise of a non-contact automatic identification technology in recent years, UHF (840-960MHz) radio frequency identification technologies recognition distance , recognition speed characteristics attention and prompt application . Antenna design technology with the expanding demand for the application of ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID technology , RFID system also requires the continuous development of the high-performance antenna designed to meet the requirements of various applications . The UHF RFID system as the background, and 3 for the metal object of the tag antenna is designed according to the specific application and a broadband reader antennas . The main content of the paper include the following aspects: 1 ) first introduced the RFID system works and classification , to discuss the performance of UHF RFID systems antennas , related to the design process as well as the RFID antenna measurement techniques ; 2) for the specific commercial chips two using the reactance loading technique , and the parasitic element technique to stimulate new wave mode RFID tag antenna design to achieve a broadband can be used for metal objects , which were analyzed for the specific parameters of the antenna , also carried out physical measurements , the measurement results and simulation is designed consistent good results show that the two half-power bandwidth of the antenna completely covering the UHF band RFID system , antenna read and write distance of up to 3 meters above ; 3 ) for a specific commercial chip affixed to the square Cutaway chip to increase the air medium , a high gain, circular polarization of the tag antenna is designed , analyzed the specific parameters of the antenna , the simulation results show that the axial ratio bandwidth of the antenna covering the 920-925MHz band , gain of 5dBi above , reader distance of 7 meters ; 4 ) the use of the L-shaped ground Cutaway square the same layer adds a parasitic rectangular patch to increase bandwidth , design a broadband circularly polarized reader antenna , simulation results show that the axial ratio bandwidth 127 MHz ( 14.1% ) , the VSWR bandwidth of less than 1.5 to 202MHz (22.4%), completely cover the entire UHF RFID system band , gain more 7dBi .
