Abstract


Municipal water supply system possesses strong public character. It is related to the stability and harmony of the society. With the progress of urbanization in China, municipal water supply systems have been rapidly developed, but potential safety concerns were accumulated, and Hangzhou is without exception. So it is of great significance to investigate the safety risk assessment of municipal water supply system, since Chinese government pays more attention to the people’s livelihood.Safety Management of water supply in Hangzhou relies more on experiences, lack of systematic management. So there is high risk probability, which is easy to cause water incidents, and have a strong impact on people’s daily lives, even come to a public crisis. In order to build more comprehensive and systematic safety management system, it is necessary to apply risk management. Risk assessment is the foundation of risk management.On the basis of the theoretical research results on safety assessment of municipal water supply system, this paper firstly discerns the safety risk factors of municipal water supply based on hydrologic condition and water supply management in Hangzhou, then choose the index which reflect the safety risk factors to construct safety risk of assessment indicator system adapted to Hangzhou. According to the distribution and weigh of risk factors which are showed by assessment, the advice is given on safe precaution measures.
