Abstract

The conflict between World Heritage tourism development and heritage protection is an important issue of the sustainable development. Ecological Migrant is a new form in the process of World Heritage development and plays an important role in promoting the sustainable development of World Heritage. Eco-migrant of Tourism in World Heritage site not only involves the protection of ecological heritage, sustainable development of heritage tourism, but also relates to the transition to the production and lifestyle of residents, social adaptation and other issues. In World Heritage site, it is necessary to achieve the purpose of protecting the world’s natural heritage, promoting sustainable development of tourism and safeguarding the standard of residents’living, in the process of eco-migrants of tourism in world heritage site, making sense of residents’perception of eco-migrants of tourism is significant.This paper is based on the social exchange theory, migration theory and role theory, by comparing the benefits and the pay of residents, the research of residents’social and psychology role changing, population size, geographical distribution, constitute and population changing, by establishing the model of residents’perception of eco-migrants of tourism in world heritage site, explores residents’perception of eco-migrants of tourism and the main factors. At first, the paper is based on the research findings about Eco-migrants of tourism at home and abroad, established the theoretical framework and set hypotheses. Then, selectes World Heritage Site Wu-Ling-Yuan as an example to conduct research and to access to data. And at last, by using statistical software SPSS 16.0 verifies the underlying assumptions of this study through descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis and variance analysis, obtains relevant factors, which influence perspectives of Eco-migrants in Wu-Ling-Yuan World Heritage scenic, and perceives differences in the degree of influence.Based on the empirical analysis, this paper concludes the main points: (1) the residents of different demographic characteristics has different effect on the perceptions of ecological migrant; (2) residents who are involved in tourism or not has different effect on perceptions of ecological migrant; (3) residents depending on tourism economic or not has different perceptions of ecological migrant; (4) resettlement of residents in different ways has different perceptions on ecological migrant. Based on this paper’s conclusions, the paper makes five recommendations in order to develop a reasonable immigration policy of Eco-migrants and improve the residents a positive perception of immigration for the World Heritage site:(1) the government of world heritage site should make positive and reasonable eco-migrants policy; (2) in the process of eco-migrants of tourism in world heritage site, the government should lead the residents to form right understanding, attitude and perception; (3) the residents should improve their own quality, and change the perception of depending on the government, they should rely on their own efforts, participate in employment positively, and adapt to the new way of life and production; (4) the country and governments at all levels should integrate the compensation mechanism of eco-migrants in world heritage site, and explore the support model at the later immigrants stage; (5) in the process of immigrants resettlements, the government should persist in people-oriented, and chose the appropriate resettlement. Finally, we point out that the research is just a useful attempt. Because of shortage of correlative research findings and the writer’s limited level of research, this paper has some shortcomings, at the same time, the paper points out propose research prospects.
