Over the past twenty years, economic globalization and the development of new economies have created a good opportunity for women employment. Since the 1990s, a large number of women have entered the workplace, resulting in changes in gender composition among employees, and in organization management accordingly at the same time. On the one hand, the increasing female members and the diversity trend in the organization has made the traditional practice of male-dominated organizations and organizational behaviors no longer applied in many ways, as a result, the study focusing on gender and gender differences of management field has started. On the other hand, as the female members play a more and more important role among the organization, as well as female manager members, scholars have made much research focusing on gender differences in leadership style. The consistent result is that: compared with male leaders, female supervisors pay more attention to democratic leadership, and tend to interact with subordinates or interactive management, which is supported by the scholars that this kind of management has some positive impact on the organizational behaviors of subordinates. Furthermore, the increasing female employees and supervisors has changed the staffing of the organization, gender diversity and the objective existence of supervisor subordinate gender composition, has either brought a new impact on the traditional management. However, there is still lacking research on the gender diversity and the objective existence of upper and lower gender composition.The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the supervisor-subordinate gender combination, employee affective commitment, and performance; and the moderating effect of gender combination on the relationship between leader-member exchange and employees’results. There are four stages in this study. The first stage is the literature review and theoretical analysis, based on the literature review, we present the theoretical model. The second stage is the survey phase, in which supervisors rate their subordinates’task performance, organizational citizenship behavior, organizational deviance, and the affective commitment, leader-member exchange are reported by the subordinates. There are 489 valid questionnaires received totally. The third stage is the analysis phase of the data, by the deep and thorough analysis on the data most of the theoretical hypotheses are supported clearly. The fourth stage is the application stage, through research on the success of women executives and successful company, the value of this research results are show.The main conclusions of the empirical investigation: the both female combination can weaken the influence of leader-member exchange on organizational deviance, the combination of male subordinates and female leaders can enhance the impact of leader-member exchange on task performance. Application of research results and research also found that women with relationship-oriented style of leadership to encourage and motivate employees to achieve organizational goals. The conclusion of this study has some theoretical significance on organizational management how to improve staff efficiency, while has some practical significance on women managers how to improve leadership effectiveness, organizational selection of outstanding women managers and gender mix of staff allocation.
