The northeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet block the expansion of the leading edge of the continental interior parts of the entire Tibetan plateau , the plateau latest and emerging important part , while the area is also an important tectonic deformation and earthquake activity zone , the region in the structure , has a lot of advantages of geographical location, natural environment , and basic information , so we means to capitalize on these advantages to study the northeastern margin of the internal crustal deformation problems by means of geodetic , is a very meaningful work . Especially with the rapid development of high-precision GPS observation techniques , it is widely used in the study of crustal movement , in recent years , many units GPS observational studies carried out in this area , including the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China \area of approximately 143 existing GPS stations two observations (1999, 2001 ) , provide good support for the inversion to obtain the stress and strain fields in the region and tectonic activity . In this paper, based on the GPS data , combined with the regional characteristics of the geological structure and the main activity of the fault zone , the region , the block is divided on this basis were applied ellipsoid , spherical , overall rotation and linear block model of response activities , it is estimated that each block rotation and strain parameters , in order to analyze the basic characteristics of the strain field in the region . Also bound to GPS displacement data using the finite element method to study the level of movement and deformation characteristics of the region , and analog northeastern margin of the causes of the crustal deformation dynamics mechanisms to do some preliminary discussion . Analysis comparing two types of solution method , we can see that they the bulk deformation studies have certain advantages , the two types of solution method for the spatial distribution of the value of high- value areas of the deformation characteristics of the study area has a good consistency . Another article also discussed the relationship between the characteristics of crustal stress and strain fields and seismic activity .
