Abstract


Ideological and political education’s vector is very important in the process of ideological and political education. At different periods of history and social background, it is meaningful to select the appropriate vector in order to strengthen and improve ideological and political education. Currently, research for the development of ideological and political education’s vector, which is based on the specificity of undergraduates, is limited. But at present, the traditional ideological and political education’s vector can no longer meet the needs of ideological and political education for undergraduates in the new era, so ideological and political education’s vector needs to be expanded as soon as possible.The development of ideological and political education’s vector can be achieved through a variety of ways. Research for the development of ideological and political education’s vector, which takes volunteer service activities of undergraduates as an example is very typical and representative. And the research provides a thinking space for the expansion of ideological and political education through the other ways.The focus of this research is the development of ideological and political education’s vector, through the volunteer service activities of undergraduates in Beijing. Besides, the research provides practical reference for the development of ideological and political education’s vector by other ways.First of all, in this research we accessed large amounts of data and summed up the concept, conditions, types, characteristics, and functions of ideological and political education’s vector in the draw based on previous studies. Then, we conducted a survey and analysis on the basic situation of undergraduates’participation in volunteer service activities. The above-mentioned laid a foundation for the follow-up research.Second, based on the construction of ideological and political education’s vector in Beijing, we summarized the efforts of ideological and political education’s vector, such as diversification of vector, hardware development of vector, the formation of a good campus atmosphere. At the same time, we summarized the shortcomings of ideological and political education’s vector, such as the requirement in-depth development of theoretical research, lack of practical vector resulted in the practice was difficult to carry out, lack of target for this special group of undergraduates. Based on which, we analyzed the reasons related. Finally, we summarized the general principles, the ways to achieve and measures to protect for the development of ideological and political education’s vector. Then we analyzed the unique advantages of voluntary service activities, and how to develop the ideological and political education’s vector from the theoretical and practical aspects. At last, we offered some thoughts and suggestions about how to ensure the development of ideological and political education’s vector.
