Abstract


Jiangsu’s total export ranks second nationwide, is one of the main driving forces to stimulate the growth of Jiangsu’s economy. Along with the serious impact of financial crisis on the real economy, the demand of international market decreases, the total export of Jiangsu province was only $199.32 billion in 2009, which has a decline of 16.3%. Jiangsu’s export is influenced by the fluctuation of the international economic environment in a high level. Although Jiangsu sits to hug the reputation of "Export Province", it’s still a long way from "Strong Export Province". So, thinking about how to transform the mode of Jiangsu’s export development becomes inevitable and urgent.The object of this paper is the mode of Jiangsu’s export development. The theoretical framework of this paper is in the foundation of China’s International Trade Development Strategy in the Post-crisis Era. And the paper uses a weighted comprehensive evaluation method, which combines with the variation coefficient method and the efficiency coefficient method, to evaluate the transforming process of the mode of Jiangsu’s export development from 2000 to 2010.To see the advantages and disadvantages of the mode of Jiangsu’s export development more clearly, this paper also selects Guangdong and Zhejiang as the horizontal compared objects, and makes comparisons with Jiangsu in aspects of overall score, modules’scores and specific indexes. Through the horizontal and vertical comparison, we can see the transforming process of the mode of Jiangsu’s export development tends to be constantly optimized in general. The export structure, export security, export development base of Jiangsu are also be optimized but with no shortage of fluctuations. And in the specific indexes Jiangsu’s export still has a big rise space. At last, this paper studies the optimized path chosen by Jiangsu to transform the mode of its export development from some aspects, such as speeding up the adjustment of the export structure, ensuring the export benefit, maintaining the export sustainable, ensuring the export security, supporting the infrastructure construction of export development, and so on.
