Traditional Management of student information has some drawbacks, such as low efficiency, low security, and difficulty in querying and maintaining information. As the development of teaching technology, it has been replaced gradually by student informa-tion system, for example, MIS, short for Management Information System. This thesis designs and implements information management system based on the concrete features for BaYin College.First of all, the thesis researched the core technology used to develop BaYin Col-lege Student Information Management System, gave detailed introduction to the popu-lar .NET framework, and researched the ASP.NET 3.5 used in development. Meanwhile, we gave brief introduction to developing language, tools and database management system. After all these works, we used ASP.NET and Visual Studio 2008 to develop BaYin College Student Information Management System. This thesis completed the system requirement base on functional and non-functional requirements, and the whole design of this system using modular design. What’s more, the conceptual model design and the physics model design were also completed. With the support of researching, analyzing and designing above technologies, this thesis designed and implemented Stu-dent Management, Teacher Management, Course Management, Score Management, and Stuff Management and so on with the ASP.NET technology. At the same time good pro-gramming style and strategy assured the security, scalability, maintainability, practicali-ty and easy operability.BaYin College Student Information Management System integrated own features and requirements of teachers and students during the design and implementation. It not only solved the problems such as low efficiency, high workload, and mistakes made by manually operations, but also brought great convenience to teachers and students, im-proved the efficiency of teaching management, and provided a good environment for the study of teachers and students. And it’s of greater practical application value.
