Abstract

Broadband Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) have getting to develop quickly in the recent years, as the data correspondence networks that overlays the city scope and provides the bandwidth access for all kinds of customers of the whole city, getting to develop quickly in the recent years. On one hand, the broadband MAN can raise the internet rate of the customers; On the other hand, it can integrate various business of the correspondence network to on the same of terrace. This paper presents the conceptions and characteristic and structure of broadband metropolitan area networks, also presents the technique principle of the core layer of IP broadband MAN such as the IP over ATM( the IP transmission technique according to ATM), the IP over GE( the IP transmission technique according to Gbits/s ethernet), the IP over DWDM( the IP transmission technique according to DWDM) . and relate detailed the technique principle, network structure, network management, the charge attestation etc of the CHINAUNICOM’s IP broadband metropolitan area networks in Shenyang..As one of the constructors of the CHINAUNICOM’s IP broadband metropolitan area networks in Shenyang , I participate the designing programming team. During the period of preparation to this project, I have read a lot of domestic and overseas literatures about broadband network technology and MAN construction. I accomplished the paper about the CHINAUNICOM’s IP broadband metropolitan area networks in Shenyang.In this paper, firstly, the local requirement of broadband service market in Shenyang has been analized, and the feasibility and necessity of the CHINAUNICOM’s IP broadband metropolitan area networks ’s construction have also been dissertated detailedly according to the factual work of Shenyang IP broadband MAN’s programming,design,construction. Secondly, refered to the down to date development of MAN’s technology and the status of MAN’s constrution in other cities, the correlative technology system, including core layer, edge layer and access layer technoly, which can he applied in Shenyang MAN’s construction has been brought forward. Moreover, according to the local market analysis, the feasible precept of Shenyang MAN’s constrution which can meet not only current reqiuement but also future telecom service requirement has been brought forward. Furthermore, the central idea that MAN should he built in IP broadband tecnology and network structure should be layered has been established as a whole direction. In the end, the particular designing precept, including network structure, routing protocol、network security、network management, accounting and so on, has been analized and dissertated systemically, and the corresponding material implement precept has also been brought forward.
