Abstract


The domestic securities companies have been facing a much more radical competition environment under background of globalization and diversification of financial industries since china entered WTO in 2001 and occupied door- open policy to the foreigners."To be or not to be?" How can the ambitious ABC company find its way of sustainable development during this hard period? the author believe it depends on whether or not it could develop a proper strategy for itself.Applying strategy theory and tools, this paper discusses the problems of ABC company and analyse their causes, the author attempts to bring forward a feasible strategy to resolve those main problems of ABC.The paper studies the operation environment of ABC securities &Co and investigates the capacity and resource it can employ. First, we use PEST model to analysis its macro backgrounds, and then, cite Porter’s Five Power Model, we discuss its minor competition conditions, thirdly , through "SWOT" we advanced the feasibility of "go-up strategy" for the company. At last, we summarize ABC company main strategy and operating strategy plus with its direction and tactical method.Through this study ,we find that ABC securities Co, which was fighted in the second bloc of competition has its particular opportunity, and its strategy can be stated as two parts: the first part is in allusion to the long term ,alike holistic Chinese securities companies, ABC also needs to develop its modern investment bank plus with overseas business; the second part focuses on the metaphase, which could be more practical and radical: adding capital and increasing shares in the near future in order to tamp the fundament of scale economy; low-cost expanding、services diversifying and inaugurating in order to break away from the trouble of narrowness in business and blankness in revenue; via these strategy we believe ABC can in phase of the Chinese capital market and hopefully to chase up its leading bloc and be characterized as a competitive comprehensive investment-bank.
