Abstract

A large number of foreign direct investment inflows into China not only to ease the capital shortage problem faced in the process of China's economic development, but also to bring advanced technology and management experience, has made a huge contribution to the rapid development of China's export-oriented economy. Terms of geographical distribution, however, the foreign direct investment in China preached \This foreign uneven distribution pattern objectively widening gap between the economic development of China's eastern, central and western hinder China's sustained, healthy and harmonious development. Therefore, the System of Distribution of FDI the differences affecting factors, and on this basis to explore the different regions of China attract investment strategy, maximize the characteristics and advantages of each region, and deepen the opening up and sharing of various regions, and promote regional economic harmonious development of great significance. The paper then as a guide to the basic analytical framework of reform and opening up 20 years of foreign direct investment in China's regional distribution characteristic of the fact that the use of the 1992-2006 provincial panel data from the eastern, central and western regions level empirical analysis of the of external conduction mechanism for the role of FDI location decisions. The research results show that the financial externalities to select the location of FDI in China has a significant positive role in promoting the role of technology externalities is not significant, and the impact of traditional variables on FDI location choice obvious regional differences. Finally, according to the above conclusions, the paper proposes policy recommendations for the different regions of China to introduce foreign investment in the future.
