Abstract

Vacuum dynamic consolidation is applied widely on strengthening soft soil in the coastal area and is a cheap, fast and high quality foundation approach for hydraulic reclaimed land-based reinforcement. However, the theory research of vacuum dynamic consolidation is fallen relatively behind in our country. This article is based on the construction geologica condition of Cao Feidian Industrial Zone. This article is based on the project of the Beijing Shougang Iron and Steel Company whose foundation was strengthened by vacuum dynamic consolidation. This paper utilized of a great deal indoor and outdoor test data, discussed and summarized the effect and mechanism of vacuum dynamic consolidation by analyzing and comparing the indices of physical mechanics before and after vacuum dynamic consolidation in detail. Simultaneously, this paper also analyzed the data of monitoring the construction, proposed reasonable process parameters of the vacuum dynamic consolidation and analyzed the safe distance of shocking for different dynamic tamping. The following main conclusions can be drawn after the analysis and research above mentioned:Cao Feidian Industrial Zone is in the relative stability lots of tectonic. The type of venue is the soft soil site. The soil related to the construction is saturated hydraulic fill sand and the coastal facies soft soil, silty sand and exists liquefied possibility. The hydraulic fill sand soil indicators were obviously improved after vacuum dynamic consolidation, whose strength and uniformity increased. Under vacuum precipitation, excessive pore water pressure can generally be dispersed to 90 percent in two days around, which notes that vacuum dynamic consolidation for accelerating the excessive pore water pressure dissipation and the pore water discharge have significantly effects. The safe distance for the dynamic vibration by the tamping 2000kN·m, 3000 kN·m and 4000kN·m can be separately controlled in the 50 m, 60 m and 55m range. We optimized the process parameters, which will provide theoretical basis for the vacuum dynamic consolidation of strengthening the similar soil of a foundation in this area.
