Abstract


Large-body and large-scale tall buildings increased gradually in our living environment, as an important architectural type of composing city entity, which undertook more public responsibilities. Designer must find new measures to establish new connection between the tall building designed by him and the human on ground in order to show regard and concern. According to concrete living and psychological behavioral characteristic of human and based on the actual demand of human for space and the sensitive cognition rule of human for spatial environment, create the city and architectural space that accorded with humanness and give deeper comprehension on building design level for“human-oriented”.Frontage of tall public building was the entity position that tall building and human communicated most frequently in urban public space, as appreciation object within human normal visual range, the shape design of itself was very important, which included proper shape, pleasant size, appropriate materials, enjoyable color and so on. But in general, modern Chinese construction circle attached far more importance on its essentiality than on bottom. According to behavior mode and psychological demand of human, the paper had established the research framework with own characters of tall building monomer bottom layer as well its integration with urban space as main line. This paper fully analyzed the relevance between elements of frontage and surrounding surface and then carried out corresponding consideration for concrete design technique and design management mechanism of frontage and put forward suggestions.This paper combined theory with instance and applied the theories of environment behavior science, environmental psychology, visual perception, architectonics, urban design and so on to analyze and induce the design elements of tall building frontage from point to line, which made the topic research to develop under clear thoughts.
