Abstract

Digital signal processing system is widely used in the electronic systems of aerospace products such as communication, telemetry, attitude control, orbit control and so on. A high reliability is asked because of the speciality of aerospace products’working environment. Thereby, it is extremely important to improve the reliability of digital signal processing system. Embryonic array is a hardware circuit with self-testing and self-repairing abilities which are similar to those of the multi-cellular organisms. Compared with the traditional fault-tolerant mechanism, embryonic array with self-repairing ability can improve the fault-tolerance capability and reliability of system, or can greatly reduce the cost, volume and redundant resource under the same design target of reliability. Based on the research on the development state of bio-inspired self-repairing technology at home and abroad, this thesis carries out the research on embryonic array for digital signal processing. The main contents are as follows:(1) Based on the research on typical digital signal processing algorithms, three implementation methods of multiply-accumulate structure are discussed, and then the bit-serial distributed arithmetic is selected and its structure is improved;(2) Having discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the two self-repairing mechanisms of embryonic array - column (row) removal mechanism and cell removal mechanism, the column removal mechanism is selected as the implementation method of the array reconfiguration; then based on the characteristic of the structure of bit-serial distributed arithmetic, two different ideas of embryonic array design are proposed and two different cell circuits are designed;(3) Two embryonic array models are built. Then their computing and self-repairing functions are both validated by simulation and experiment methods. At the end of the thesis, the summary on the research and suggestion for further research are provided.
