Abstract


The thesis takes one of Guanlong Group Longxi Niushi(or Anding Niushi), the political and military blocs in the Sui Dynasty, as the research object, using the Sui Dynasty Niuhong case studies as the center, revealing the unique characteristics of the evolution of the general lines of Middle Ages’ Gentry, and discusses Niuhong academic, institutional, cultural and literary achievements in the Sui Dynasty. Through the rise of the Niu family, it is not difficult to find the institutional factors underneath the theory of the common phenomenon, "Yanwujiuwen" ( promoting literature instead of violence). It’s obvious to see the change of the role of social stucture by the philosophy like "Nine-rank judging system". At the same time, another focus of this thesis is to explore the Sui Dynasty literary feature like using simplified language without too much modification as the general principle, and to take etiquette music as ideological core of orthodoxical Confucian view on literature and literary works, as well as how to generate and how to assess the whole process.To clarify this theory: (1) Gentry is the structural socio-cultural factors in this time. How do those gentry family (such as Niu’s), which were not very rich and powerful to start arise? In the hunderds of years long history, what kind of imperial systemetic factors could protect them? Thus, in the case studies to explore the medieval gentry in the development and changes in the general phenomenon of the universality of the system after the factors; (2) What are the reasons to cause the Sui literature (take Niuhong poetry as an example), which lack of features of vitality, can achieved a breakthrough in the Tang Dynasty? As a result, the thesis points out, As a result ,the thesis points out,Take Niu Hong as the core folk songs and ballads collected by Yuefu with national unification creating a collective,north and south poem style,the creation in the respect of poetry and song tonality ,sound rhyme etc. has carried out, pushed forward further poetry and song face rules and forms of classical poetic composition-rization step forging ahead.
