Abstract


With the development of times, competitive sports become increasingly significant in our culture and social life. Conforming to the requirements of the times, the college accepts high-level athletes not only satisfy the people’s social and cultural needs, and improve mechanisms for the school physical education and for national transport a large number of elite athletes. However, high level college athletes are a special group of young college students who are both students and athletes faced with heavy pressure.Faced with these pressures, the psychological state and competitive condition of universities high-level athletes are faced with the test, how to deal with these pressures and challenges in their lives is an essential issue. Therefore, in order to minimize the impact of the pressure and the wrong coping style with universities high-level athletes and improve the high-level sports teams in colleges so as to enhance the competitive level of sport in the country, we will aim for the impact of the pressure and coping style on universities high-level athletes. Previous research for the competitive condition remains which factors affecting them, which is not directed towards the pressure and coping style. However, the testee of research on the pressure and coping style are always college students, the test of research which aims athletes are not specifically for athletes. Therefore, this article uses universities high-level athletes for the test and specialized athletes for the scale, to study the impact on competitive condition of pressure and coping style.The research used the way of questionnaire, 184 universities high-level athletes from Jilin University and North East University were responded to Athlete Stress Questionnaire and Athlete Coping Style Questionnaire which both were worked out by Tan Xian Ming and Yan Nine’s Athlete Competitive Condition Monitoring Questionnaire. The main solution to the following questions:1 The status of present universities high-level athletes’pressure, coping style and competitive condition.2 Analyzed the impact of the pressure and coping style on competitive condition of universities high-level athletes.3 Based on the study, giving advice of relieve the impact of pressure and coping style.Independent T test, One-way ANOVA and Regression were used to analyze the questionnaires.1. The most commonly coping style used by universities high-level athletes is tolerance, positive recognition, suppression interference activities, emotional catharsis and initiative dealing.2. The psychological stress factor ranks one by one in order according to the their size for : competition defeat, internal and external pressures, sports injuries, interpersonal relationship, daily life and environmental factor.3. The competitive condition ranks one by one in order according to the their size for:self-control, feeling good, physical restoration, self-efficacy, fatigue, mental exhaustion, mental fatigue and emotional stress.4. The competitive condition is positive correlation with the stress of universities high-level athletes.5. Use stress, coping style and their factors as independent variable, use competitive condition as dependent variable, in step by regress analyze, the greatest impact on the competitive condition is suppression interference factors, followed by interpersonal relationship, and finally competition defeat.Further discussion of the results showed that some of the reasons affecting the competitive condition:1. Life pressure. As the number of family environment can not provide sufficient space for their children for development, in support of their children after exercise training is an effective choice2. Psychological qualities. Movement in the competitive arena is only one champion, people who won the championship sometimes are not necessarily the most powerful, but must be played best, in other words, is the psychological qualities that the person best.3. Inadequate competition. Psychological qualities associated with one of the reasons are the lack of experience. To participate in the competition, training athletes is to consolidate the basic technical aspects, while race is a study to improve the quality of their technology and the key link.4. Contradictions between study and training. We know that high-level athletes is specialized enter the university, premature professional training and knowledge learning occupied most of the time and energy, making it difficult to be assured culture and education.5. Employment factors. The process of enterprise recruitment, employers often took knowledge as a target, so faced employment pressure, high-level athletes dropped drasticallyThe following recommendations to serve as a reference based on the findings:1. The impact of psychological quality on high-level athletes’competitive condition could reduce by psychological training.2. The impact of contradictions between study and training on high-level athletes could reduce by not only designing a set of Volume test but also formulating a study plan after college.3. The impact of employment factors on high-level athletes could reduce by both employers changing their ideas and college building a platform.
