Abstract


Intermediary business, liabilities business, assets business constitute the three basic operations of the commercial banks. The profit of Intermediary business is non—interest income of commercial banks and Intermediary business is off-balance—sheet activities. The intermediate business income has become an important new profit growth to commercial bank. Although scholars have said that the Commercial Bank of China’s development has entered a "loaned of the times", but the intermediate business of domestic commercial banks are still larger compared to the advanced west bank.In this paper, firstly, the author introduces the concept, background theories, characteristics, and classification of intermediary business. Secondly, this paper studies intermediary business development of the domestic commercial banks and the western commercial banks. Thirdly, this paper Analysis the existing problem in the process of the development of domestic commercial banks, Finally, on the base of experience of development of western commercial banks, the author puts forward some suggestions to develop the intermediary business of domestic commercial banks.
