Abstract


The flow of international capital has becomed larger and larger with the global economy development, many countrys’banking system or individal bank faced banking crisis at various dgrees and periods in the world,even sometimes global financial crisis occurred. But whether the national banking crisis or global financial crisis,which has indrect relation with banks’non-performing assets, and almost every government attachs much importance to cleaning up the non-performing assets in order to keep financial stability and guard against financial risks.Varying governments and banks have established different theory,policy and measurements for solving the bad loans.So it is very important to profit form the others countrys’experience by comparative study in disposal of non-perfoming assets.This paper try to make a comprehensive analysis in disposal of NPAs ,mainly about policy, measurements, means and so on, between USA and China,and acquire enlightenment by the comparision.Then offer some proposals for cleaning up NPAs with Chinese charaters.The thesis divides into six chapters,chapter one is exordium,introduce the background and purpose of this paper.Chapter two is to explain the concept and delimitation of the NPAs.Chapter three contains the setting,laws and regulations, setup of institution, measurements and means, and the effects in dealing with NPAs.Chapter four presents the current situation of commercial banks, economic and financial circumstance, cause and solution for bad loans,government intervention and measurements,and the result for solving NPAs in china;Chapter five makes a comparison with disposal pattern of NPAs in various views between China and USA; The finally chapter is conclusion, we provide some policy suggestions according to the Chinese situation on the basis of the American experience.
