With the development of computer technology and numerical analysis theory , CAE technology in modern automotive product design plays an increasingly important role , almost throughout the whole process of car design , it is the computer technology and engineering analysis techniques combine to form the emerging technology. The steering system is an important part of the car chassis , is the driver direct contact to automotive parts , the performance impact on the car ride comfort , manipulate stability and an important factor in travel speed , and automotive NVH performance . Engine idle speed and road roughness incentive leading to the main steering system vibration , severe impact vehicle comfort and ride , its very easy to trigger a driver's driving fatigue , and therefore a greater impact on traffic safety . In this paper, each of the many factors that affect the steering wheel vibration analysis, based on multi-body system dynamics theory using ADAMS software virtual prototype model of a car , randomly Road spectrum as the system input using ADAMS simulation vehicle steering wheel vertical acceleration vehicle parameters change response under different speed , different pavement level variation analysis from the damping angle , suspension stiffness and damping of the vehicle steering wheel vibration. Combination of advanced CAE analysis techniques , and analysis from the isolation angle , triggering the main reason for the car steering system resonance is the first natural frequency of the steering system and engine idle incentive close . Nastran to optimize the design , and optimization of the the bracket thickness of the steering system to make it the first natural frequency of 35Hz or more , the natural frequency of the system , to prevent idling resonance , improved steering wheel vibration to achieve the performance requirements of automotive comfort , so as to achieve a satisfactory results. The study not only can be used for the development of the steering system and improve the design, with the corresponding theoretical reference value and practical guiding significance for the development and design of other auto parts , and has broad prospects for engineering applications .
