Objective: To detect fetal growth restriction ((fetal growth restriction, FGR) venous blood of pregnant women and their newborns umbilical cord blood of matrix metalloproteinase -9 ( matrix metalloproteinases - 9 , MMP - 9 ) levels to explore MMP-9 in fetal growth restriction pathogenesis . methods: solid-phase sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA method) were detected 20 cases of fetal growth restricted venous blood of pregnant women and their newborns umbilical venous blood MMP -9 level ( FGR group ) , 20 cases of normal full-term pregnancy pregnant women cubital vein and their newborns umbilical cord blood ( normal group ) level of MMP-9 in the processing of data obtained using SPSS 13.0 statistical package results : ( 1 ) FGR group maternal venous blood level of MMP-9 ( 103.00 ± 38.71 ) ng / ml , the normal group of pregnant women cubital vein MMP-9 level ( 196.60 ± 78.91 ) ng / ml , FGR group of pregnant women cubital vein blood MMP-9 levels below the normal group , the difference was significant ( P lt ; 0.001 ) ( 2 ) FGR group newborn's umbilical cord blood level of MMP-9 ( 80.30 ± 30.47 ) ng / ml , normal group newborn's umbilical cord blood MMP-9 level ( 153.80 ± 83.62 ) ng / ml , the FGR group neonatal umbilical cord blood level of MMP-9 is lower than that of the normal group , the difference was statistically significant ( P lt ; 0.05 ) ( 3 ) FGR group , MMP-9 water in the venous blood of pregnant women in the normal group was higher than that in the umbilical venous blood MMP-9 level ( P lt ; 0.05 , P lt ; 0.05 ) , and the FGR group normal group , MMP-9 levels were in the venous blood of pregnant women and newborn umbilical cord blood in the MMP-9 level was positively correlated ( r = 0.593 , r = 0.624 ) . ( 4 ) the FGR group in pregnant women cubital vein and MMP-9 levels were in the neonatal umbilical cord blood and neonatal weight was positively correlated (r = 0.476, P lt; 0.05; r = 0.567, P lt; 0.05), venous blood of pregnant women and newborns in the normal group umbilical cord blood in MMP-9 levels were no correlation between birth weight (P gt; 0.05, P gt; 0.05). conclusions: MMP- cubital vein in the umbilical cord blood of pregnant women with fetal growth restriction 9 levels were significantly decreased MMP - 9 level and fetal growth restricted newborn's birth weight was positively correlated with normal birth weight of the newborn was no correlation between MMP - 9 in the fetal growth restriction occurred in the development from an important role , is expected to be one of the new indicators as a prediction of fetal growth restriction .
