Abstract


Objective: measurement of the Baumann angle normal , healthy children , and treatment of supracondylar fractures restore elbow normal Baumann angle , using shaping cardboard splint external fixation , reducing the incidence of cubitus varus . Methods : measure the angle of the normal value of 42 to 12 - year - old healthy children Baumann . Using two different external fixation method of treatment of 72 cases of children supracondylar fractures , the treatment group, 42 cases were treated with manipulative shaping cardboard splints fixed attention to restore limb the Baumann angle to the normal level at reset ; 30 patients The use manual reduction and plaster external fixation , two groups outside the fixed effects , such as the incidence of cubitus varus compare . Results: ( 1 ) 42 healthy children Baumann angle measurement values ??were : the male left 70.59 ± 5.61 ; right side to 70.67 ± 5.35 to 70.67 ± 5.29 ; women Baumann angle the left ; right side to 70.87 ± 5.48 . (2 ) cardboard splint fixed to maintain good fixed effect in the incidence of cubitus varus below the plaster external fixation group . Conclusion : The the Baumann angle measurement of cubitus varus prevention is important. Cardboard splint external fixation can be maintained the Baumann angle after the reset effective in preventing the occurrence of cubitus varus .
