United Application of Furosemide and Mannitol on Acute Swelling Limb: Clinical Analysis

Abstract


Objective:To compare different therapy concepts for treatment of acute limb swelling patient and put forward the best treatment method that the united application of united application of furosemide and mannitol therapy had a quickly prominent effect on swellMethods:42 patients of acute swelling limb from March 2008 to March 2009 were chosen from orthopedics department of the first affiliated hospital of Shanxi Medical University, including 22 male and 20 female,with an average age of 35.6 years（range from 18 to 65 years）. After injured,they were sent to the hospital within 24h,the average time is 7h.They were divided into united application of furosemide and mannitol group and mannitol group in random:The united therapy group included 21 cases were treated with united application of Furosemide（20mg in pail three times one day.） and Mannitol（20%Mannitol 125ml three times one day.）,the other group included 21 cases were treated with Mannitol（20%Mannitol 125ml three times one day.）.All of them were given physical therapeutics（cold treatment three times one day.） Observe the swelling limb and records tissue internal pressure,pain,distension everyday.The data of 1st,2nd,3th day was noted.All of the data were analyzed by SPSS 13.0 statistical software.The differences of the data have statistic significance（P＜0.05）.Result:In the diminution of tissue internal pressure,the P between united application of furosemide and mannitol group and application of mannitol group on 1st,2nd,3th was 0.000、0.008、0.877.In the diminution of limbs girth,the P between United application of furosemide and mannitol group and application of mannitol group on 1st,2nd,3th was 0.000、0.000、0.0.In alleviation of pain time,P between United application of furosemide and mannitol group and application of mannitol group was 0.000.Conclusion:United application of application of furosemide and mannitol therapy had a prominent effect,and did not disorder the water and electrolyte,without other untoward reaction.
