Abstract


Objective: To investigate early breast cancer with 1 to 3 axillary lymph node metastasis in patients with radical surgery different clinical features prognosis , and postoperative radiation therapy , number of lymph node metastasis , lymph node metastasis rate of lymph node the subjects number and prognosis relationship. Materials and Methods : Retrospective analysis of January 1, 1996 to 2005, in line with the conditions of the 154 cases of breast cancer patients were treated with 1 to 3 axillary lymph node metastasis of early breast cancer postoperative radiation did not undergo treatment in 68 patients ( radiotherapy group ) and postoperative radiotherapy of 86 patients ( radiotherapy group ) . The two groups of patients with breast cancer were analyzed using SPSS software . Results: ( 1 ) the last follow-up time of the 154 patients for August 22, 2008 , with a median follow-up time was 60 months ( 6 to 153 months ) , 18 cases were lost to follow up rate of 88.3% . The overall 1 -, 3 - and 5-year survival rate in this group of patients were 98% , 89% , 82% . (2) lymph node metastasis of early breast cancer with lymph node metastasis 2 in a 5-year survival rate were 88 % , 68 % ( x2 = 4.375 , P = 0.036 ) . ( 3) between the radiotherapy group and non - radiotherapy group overall survival and disease free survival rate showed no significant difference ( P = 0.234,0.447 gt ; 0.05) . (4) different lymph node number of metastatic lymph node relative transfer rate and lymph node subjects number in the radiotherapy group and not in the radiotherapy group showed no significant differences ( P gt ; 0.05) . Conclusion : This study showed no statistically significant adjuvant radiotherapy after radical surgery of 1 to 3 axillary lymph node metastasis in patients with early breast cancer to improve patient survival and disease-free survival .
