Abstract


Objective:The Purpose of the research was to observe the clinical effect and the safety and the side-effect of Gancaofuzitang with acupuncture in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis(AS) patients.Method:All patients were randomly appointed to therapy group 30 cases (Gancaofuzitang + acupuncture ) and control group 30 cases (acupuncture).Assessment on Ankylosing Spondylitis Response Criteria,TCM symptom effect,Main index effect,Erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-reactive protein(CRP) of AS patients were analyzed after treatment.The adverse effect was recorded.After the treatment,two groups be given evaluation.Result:(1)In therapy group the grades of evaluation are significant.The totally elective rate is 93.3%.In control group the grades of evaluation are also significant.The totally effective rate is 80%.There are significant differences between the two groups(P＜0.05).The treatment group was prior to the control group significant(P＜0.05).(2) There was significant differenc in the total effective rate of TCM symptom effect after treatment in contrast to pretreatment(p＜0.05).(3) There was significant difference in ESR,CRP after treatment in contrast to pretreatment(p＜0.05).Conclusion:According to the data provided here medical treatment with Gancaofuzitang seems to be effective and safe during an observation Period. Drug tolerance was good.None led to discontinuation of treatment.
