Background obesity is a chronic metabolic disease that can damage the health of patients , resulting in reduced quality of life , shortened life expectancy . This year, the prevalence of obesity increased rapidly , with the mechanism of acupuncture clinical and deepening of acupuncture in the treatment of obesity aspects play an increasingly important role . Catgut embedding for research purposes for the clinical treatment of obesity were analyzed . Research methods from Taiwan to the Master obesity clinic selected 60 cases were randomly divided into catgut embedding group of 30 patients and acupuncture group of 30 cases. Before and after treatment weight, body mass index , body circumference, blood lipids four , the application of statistical methods for statistics, catgut embedding therapy to analyze the effectiveness of obesity . Results The total effective rate was 83.33 % in the control group, the total effective rate was 86.67% , clinical efficacy was no statistically significant difference (P> 0.05). After treatment, weight, body mass index, waist circumference , hip circumference were significantly reduced compared with before treatment were significantly different (P <0.05), while the two groups before and after treatment groups showed no significant difference . After treatment effects on blood lipids display : After treatment, TG, TC, LDL-C decreased , both front and rear than the p <0.05, HDL-L after treatment increased back ratio p <0.05, description catgut implantation on lipid benign regulatory role . Conclusion catgut implantation is a simple, effective, no side effects of acupuncture treatment. Its operation is more simple compared with acupuncture , treatment time is short , the role of long duration ; its therapeutic efficacy of obesity compared with acupuncture , there was no significant difference , so with catgut implantation treatment alone obesity , worthy of clinical application .
