Abstract


With the increasing development of the simulation technique and people’s deep understanding of its application importance, its application fields become more and more wide. At the same time, demands for credibility evaluation of simulation systems from users become higher and higher. In this case, users make great demands of quantitative credibility evaluation.At present, evaluation of simulation systems mainly depends on qualitative methods, that is to say, subjective judgment of simulation systems is made by experts. In order to realize quantitative evaluation of simulation systems and better assist development and application of simulation technique, this paper will try to seek after a method to achieve this goal.Since fidelity is an effective approach to quantifying simulation systems, based on in-depth study of fidelity this paper gives mathematical description of relevant evaluation concepts and evaluation process, which establishes the foundation of quantitative evaluation of simulation systems.First, based on the analysis of basic problems of evaluation of simulation systems, this paper gives the evaluation concepts, goal principles and process models.Second, after analyzing research status and relevant theories of fidelity, this paper presents the definition, qualities and conceptual model, which are the foundation of research on evaluation of simulation systems based on fidelity.Third, this paper presents description of evaluation concepts and process of simulation systems based on fidelity, and also studies accuracy and interoperability techniques, which provide a way to approach to the quantitative evaluation process.At last, this paper applies the research results in this paper to the evaluation of an simple simulation system.
