Abstract

Construction of industrial field in a mountainous area often use artificial fill to achieve, and it need to backfill the original valley with soil. Artificial backfill may raise the drainage datum plane of ground water and change the water table of field, it will resulting in disserve such as artificial fill mechanics index decline and field invalidation. Therefore, dewatering becomes the key to the success of these projects. Established groundwater numerical simulation in the construction area has important practical significance, it can predict the trends of groundwater after artificial fill and bring forward dewatering schemes for engineering harm caused by artificial fill. For the east opencast mine industry field of Pingshuo diggings as example in this paper. According to the hydrological and engineering geological conditions and the result of pumping test results, using three dimensional steady-flow numerical model of ground water which is based on Modflow to analyzing the variety character of water table by artificial fill of industry field, it shows that artificial backfill raise the drainage datum plane of ground water and it will lead the large range mount up of ground water, it is necessary to use engineering measure to control. Through analyzing several factors which have greater impact on the water table and study out several dewatering schemes used to compare. Finally in order to control the raise of water table in field, bring forward use drainage holes in wall of groove bunker and underground passage of coal and use large diameter water seepage (dewatering) wells around groove bunker and industry field as control measures. Using numerical model validate the validity of dewatering measure. This paper mainly came to the conclusions that:1.Artificial fill in industrial fields will lead to a regional significant increase in groundwater, which may lead to the field invalidation caused by the strength of filed decline, it is necessary to take engineering measures to reduce the water table.2.Laying blind ditch in Madi ditch and the branch of Madi ditch is propitious to lower water table, the main factors affecting dewatering effects of blind ditch is the size of the blind ditch and the penetrate capability of fill. 3. Digging in the east side of the open pit will lead to local part of the groundwater egest to the west to the open pit, it is propitious to reduce ground water, however, due to the poor penetrability of stratum in simulate area, combined with the possibility of groundwater recharge from the north waste dump of colliery, water table may rise in the simulation area.4. Through analyzing several factors which have greater impact on the water table, studying out different dewatering schemes. Put it into model and proposed and demonstrated the design of the dewatering construction plan, using drainage holes in wall of groove bunker and underground passage of coal and using large diameter water seepage (dewatering) wells around groove bunker and industry field can reduce the water table around the groove bunker effectively, maintain the strength of foundation soil and it is conducive to the stability of the breast wall of groove bunker.5. Using large diameter water seepage (dewatering) wells methods in the south, west and north of industrial field can reduce the water table effectively, maintain the strength of foundation soil and it helps maintain the stability of the field.
