Abstract


Community is the basis of city construction.Developing the PE of community,implementing the plan of bodybuilding for all people and improving people’s life standard are the key concepts of building the society with well-being;meanwhile,it is the necessity of constructing a harmonious society.The scale of community development,in a certain degree,symbolizes the degree of community development and its civilization.In recent years,with the implement of all policies and strategies in the western part of our country,Qinghai has witnessed the rapid development in its economy and other aspects.With the improvement of the residents’ life standard,the PE in the community is springing up vigorously.This paper,starting with the present condition of PE in community, by using the methods such as documents,polls and statistics,discusses the feasibility of developing and utilizing the traditional PE events for minorities.The results of research are as follows:In Qinghai,the majority of the participants in the PE of community activities are female,who are middle-aged women or even older ones.The activities are characterized by their entertainment and bodybuilding. The Tibetan dance "Guozhu" now becomes one of the popular PE events among the participants.But some problems,such as lack of funds, equipment,participants and management,still exist.1、Qinghai is rich in the traditional PE events for minorities,which are characterized by its entertainment and bodybuilding.These events can be done without special playground and any equipment.Furthermore, they are easy to learn and be practiced.With systematizing,classifying, adapting and creating these events,they will become the most important activities that can propel the development of community PE.2、As to the developing the traditional PE events for minorities,our starting point is to protect and propagate them;meanwhile,we should recognize fully their value.While developing these events,we should strictly follow the principles of popularity and practicability as well as attach importance to their properties:the sustained development and adaptability.Furthermore,a careful and detailed plan for them must be made.3、Development of PE events should be begun with making some investigation and experiments in community.For different events,we should use standard playgrounds,equipments and simplified rules, attaching importance to the question:whether they are scientific, pragmatic,interesting or not.And selected development is also vital.4、Governments concerned should pay attention to the development of PE events.Their roles in this aspect are as follows:Firstly,promoting the development of the traditional PE,developing the economy in the areas inhabited by the minorities.Secondly,taking some actions to develop PE events and create a fine environment for these events.Thirdly,making full use of media to hold the traditional sports meeting for minorities, and introducing the traditional PE events into schools.Therefore,the awareness of the traditional PE events will be stressed among the people in minorities.Finally,training more PE directors and key members for the minority PE teams.
