Abstract


Accompanying with the economic globalization and the deepening of regional economic integration,the circulation of commodities among different countries and regions becomes more and more frequent;the speed and quality requirements on circulation of commodities are also increasingly enhanced in each country or region. China and ASEAN are important trade partners to each other.Since 2002,China and ASEAN countries have undertaken more and more economic cooperation,and further, regional logistics activities between them have become more frequently.Logistics is the basis for economic cooperation,so coordination of logistics activities is one of the prerequisites for enhancing cooperation between countries or regions.Therefore,it has become an issue for China and ASEAN that how to give full play to special advantages between China and ASEAN in terms of geographical location,the Government Co-operation and product mix,Etc.,how to better coordinate their logistics activities.The Government of China and ASEAN countries need to focus on the following issues:how to reduce logistics costs through regional logistics co-ordination,how to improve logistics efficiency in order to expand profit margins and enhance the core competitiveness of products.Therefore,in-depth systematic researches on the regional logistics coordination between China and ASEAN have important theoretical value and practical significance.Based on this reality,the thesis discusses detailed analysis into six aspects:(1) Starting from the relevant literature,this thesis comprehensively explanted the content and impact factors of Regional logistics co-ordination,the relevance of regional logistics and regional economic and other issues,then proposed the content of study:Study on Regional Logistics Coordination Mechanism of China-ASEAN.(2) According to the definition and characteristics of regional logistics co-ordination,this thesis explored the relationship between regional economic theory,system theory, modem logistics theory and regional logistics,provided a theoretical basis.(3) Using quantitative analysis methods,the thesis analyzed the impact of the logistics improvement on economic growth,industrial structure in the ASEAN and China,as well as imports and exports between them.At the same time,it analyzed the special advantages that exist in the Government’s intentions,geographical location and infrastructure in China - ASEAN regional logistics.The author believes:China-ASEAN regional logistics co-ordination is necessary and feasible.(4) The thesis discussed the current problems on China - ASEAN regional logistics co-ordination and studied the impact of the coordination of logistics on the supply-demand relationship in China - ASEAN regional logistics by using market equilibrium theory. The results show that:China - ASEAN regional logistics co-ordination can promote regional economic and welfare.(5) This thesis constructed an expansive gravity model and used it to study the major influencing factors of China - ASEAN regional logistics.The results show that:GDP of China and ASEAN countries,output value of transportation,storage and post and telecommunications industry,cargo volume, product mix,as well as the distance between China and ASEAN countries, respectively have an impact of various degrees on China - ASEAN regional logistics volume.(6) From the related factors of influencing regional logistics,the author suggested that:in the China - ASEAN regional logistics coordination,coordination of logistics activities can be implemented through government coordination, infrastructure construction and standardization of coordination mechanisms,etc.
