Abstract


Food,clothing,housing,transportation are the four important elements of human existence.There is around two-thirds of person’s life spends in the settlements.The fabric of settlements is often a direct impact on people’s livelihood.So, the construction of the settlements’ public environment is an important aspectThe twenty-first century,people’s living environment has become a common focus.How to force the conception of living environment be effectively reflected in the construction of the settlements in the rapid urbanization process is the vital task of living environment and the new town development.So,a high-quality public environment Settlement is a urgent need of the modern life.As the living standards improved,people’s demands of living environment continuous upgrading.Some settlements based on the design characteristics of "humanities",some on "landscape",and some emphasize the "public facilities and public support" and so on.As people’s living quality is continue improving,the types of settlements are also become many more and more.How to better designed the settlements’ public environment is a question of urgently need to solve by the designers and even the society.No matter what type of settlement is fundamentally to improve people’s quality of life and give comfort and ease.Therefore,apart from aesthetics,the most basic and important is focused on functional design and the entire environment and people-oriented design.Any aspect of the public environment in the settlements, person and object,object and material and so on,are linked.So, the design of settlements’ public environment is mutual contact and mutual influence.It is not a single design,but a design of studing the interaction between two or more elements The paper puts forward "Interaction Design" to in-depth analyse the form and content of modern settlements’ public environmental.And it attempt to use the design method to strengthen the overall function of settlements’ public environment and optimize the mutual collaboration between people and the environment,and to find the new direction of settlements’ public environment design.
