Abstract

Anionic surfactants and phenol are important raw materials. Anionic surfactants which can be adsorbed in the surface or interface change the physical and chemical properties in the surface or interface. Anionic surfactants gather at the particle surface after entering the water, produce bubble or occurred emulsification, then block the oxygen exchange between the air and water and cause deterioration of water quality, which would do harm to aquatic life. Phenol is a highly toxic organic pollutant. Toxicity works through the chemical reaction between phenol and protein of cell puree that can form denatured protein and cause cell inactivation. Therefore, determination of anionic surfactant and phenol in environment is very important. At present, methods for detection of anionic surfactant and phenol are complicated, time consuming and not suitable for rapid determination. To solve these problems, this thesis provides new methods which are easy to be manipulated and possesses the advantage of simple, high sensitive, less sample for detection of anionic surfactant and phenol. It mainly includes:This study reported a coloredimetric method for rapid determination of anionic surfactant by using a modified methylene bule spectrophotometry with self-made multi-parameter water quality analyzer. In this paper, the amount of organic reagent and sample were reduced and operation is simple, fast. Dual-wavelength method was used to process data for excluding the background interference. This paper achieved rapid determination of water quality by using multi-parameter water quality analyzer. The linear ranges of determination was 0.05mg/L~1.4mg/L and the detection limit was 0.016mg/L. This method was applied to determine anionic surfactant, the relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5%, the recovery was 95~105%. This result showed that this method had characteristics of wide linear range, good precision and accuracy, suitable for rapid online determination of water quality and so on.This study reported a coloredimetric method for rapid determination of phenol by using a modified 4-aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) spectrophotometry with self-made multi- parameter water quality analyzer. In this paper, the amount of organic reagent and sample were reduced and operation was simple, fast. Dual-wavelength method was used to process data for excluding the background interference. This paper achieved rapid determination of water quality by using multi-parameter water quality analyzer. The linear ranges of determination was 0.005mg/L~0.5mg/L and the detection limit was 0.003mg/L. This method was applied to determine phenol, the relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5%, the recovery was 95~105%. This result showed that this method had characteristics of wide linear range, good precision and accuracy, suitable for rapid online determination of water quality and so on.This paper provided the simultaneous coloredimetric method of phenol and anionic surfactant. In this paper, phenol was oxidized to be quinone by oxidation in alkaline medium at first. Then quinone and anionic surfactant was coloreded by the complex colored system to form different coloreded complex. These complexes were extracted to the organic phase by extractant. The concentration of two coloreded complexes was detected by simultaneous coloredimetric detection at last. This paper achieved simultaneous coloredimetric detection of phenol and anionic surfactant. The linear ranges of phenol was 0.01mg/L~0.5mg/L, the linear ranges of anionic surfactant was 0.05mg/L~1.00mg/L.The detection limits were 0.006mg/L and 0.027mg/L. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5%. The recovery was 95%~105%. Thus, this method can achieve simultaneous rapid detection of phenol and anionic surfactant to significantly reduce the detection time.Nano-titania can degrade methylene blue by photocatalytic digestion. Anionic surfactant and methylene blue can form ion-association complex. In this paper, the reaction among nano- titania, methylene blue and anionic surfactant was discussed. This result showed that the ion-association complex between methylene blue and anionic surfactant could inhibit the degradation of methylene blue in a certain time. Based on this mechanism, new method of detecting anionic surfactant about inhibitory spectrophotometry was set. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the linear range was 0.1mg/L~0.8 mg/L. The detection limit was 0.05mg/L. The relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5%. The recovery was 95~105%. Thus, this new method can achieve detection of anionic surfactant by using nano-particle.
