Abstract

Objective: To investigate the remaining maxillary sinus bone insufficiency 5mm , the line maxillary implants to enhance the feasibility of postoperative period . Materials and Methods : The study from June 2008 to October , a total of 10 patients , five cases of men and women , aged between 21-64 years of age, the remaining maxillary sinus bone mass are less than 5mm. Upgrade the line within the maxillary sinus surgery were implanted 16 XiVE implants , implant length are 9.5mm, diameter of 3.8-5.5mm, healing time is 8-10 months , follow-up observation time of 1.5 years. Fix the upper single crowns or fixed bridges. Results: The maxillary sinus minimum lift height of 6mm, maximum lifting height of 8.5mm, simultaneous placement of implants in addition to a six-month post-implantation loss due to infection and re- implantation success , the rest of the implant are complete upper repaired during the observation period without infection , loosening, shedding and obvious bone resorption . Conclusion : As long as indications, cropping systems and select the appropriate surgical approach , maxillary bone area less than 5mm in the remaining cases can also enhance the line maxillary implant surgery for implantation period .
