Abstract


The Northern Song Dynasty is a very special period in Chinese history,there are significant differences between Northern Song and other dynasties in science and technology,music,politics,culture and thought,and so on.The most prominent impression on historical evaluation of the Northern Song Dynasty is that music retro ideological orientation compared with active development of science and technology to explore the nature at the time.In contemporary society,science and technology development must promote to discover the mystery of the objective world,and conducive to the development of cultural and artistic thought.Then,why there is a very different idea of technology and music at the Northern Song Dynasty? What are the functions for the technology development and music development at that time? The main purpose of this paper tries to answer these questions by research of the certain aspects of music and science and technology on the Northern Song Dynasty.This paper by certain scientific and technological achievements related to music development of the Northern Song Dynasty,making a research and analysis in light of phonetics,instruments,music and musical thought dissemination and other document materials at the Northern Song Dynasty,implicates inner relationship between music development and scientific and technological progress at the Northern Song Dynasty, further discussion about the social politics,economy,culture and thought to explore ancient conservative leading idea for music culture during the Northern Song Dynasty, with an unprecedented development and great prosperity of scientific technology and culture,and the attitudes in different field colliding with each other during the Northern Song Dynasty,has a common trajectory of development and causes.And then sums up the role of technology factors for music development the Northern Song Dynasty.
