In recent years, research of non-governmental organizations is a hot spot. From the current views, there are two tendencies for the research of NGO, first, from the research perspectives, the majority are inclined to learn from the perspectives of Management and Politics; the second, from the basic stand of the research, most concentrated their attention on the defects that NGO fact in China. According to the professional perspective of sociology, this article tries to analyze the concept and the functions of NGO. On the base of that analysis, we focus on that NGO how to adapt the development of Chinese society, and break away from the conceptual mode from the West. And then combine the growth of NGO with China’s social development. The innovation of this article is to emphasize the view that only the NGO serve the development of Chinese society, the research is meaningful, it’s simple, but important.The paper is divided into four parts. First part, definite the meaning of Non-governmental organizations, so that to make sure the object of the research; second part, according to analyze the situation of the research about NGO home and abroad, I clarify the base of my research, and choose the point of view of my study; the third, analyze the situation of NGO that developed in China, and expose the particularity; the fourth part, for making the development of NGO and Chinese society combine together, this paper analyze the direction of NGO in China, and give the advisement.Around this point, I try to combine the NGO with“Chinese-Make”, just like transformation of government functions, rebuilding of value system, economic system, traditional social structure and other aspects. This is a theoretical attempt, and ultimately put NGO forward the direction of China, then give the suggestions.
