Abstract


The Civic Education of western developed countries has a long history. They all appeared in the process of transition from the traditional society to a modern society, and gradually developed with the continuous advancement of society. Even today, the product of the democratic constitutional government is still of great concern to Governments in the world political and economic structure of the fast-changing background.Party General Secretary Hu Jintao pointed out in the Seventeenth Congress report that it is necessary to strengthen civic education, and establish a socialist democracy, rule of law, freedom and equality, fair justice. This important voice indicats that the Chinese Government has also put civic education into the establishment of a modern country, building a harmonious society in the overall layout. Since then, our country’s civic education transferred from the academic, theoretical studies up to the established policy.Civic education of young people is the important aspect of improving the overall quality of the entire people in our country, the urgent need of the globalization of China and the basis of security to enhance country’s soft power, also the necessary support to strengthen socialist democracy and the rule of law. How to make our country’s teenagers break out of bondage from the "rule of man" and form the concept of civic-mindedness of "modern rule of law" is a new and important topic. This thesis analyzes the status of our country and teenagers cultivate civic awareness problem. The representative civic education of developed countries and regions has been classified and refined. After discovered the problem and analyzed the causes, this thesis draw some operational countermeasures to the civic education of young people based on a suitable China’s national conditions.
