Abstract


XML (eXtensible Markup Language) has become the storage of data on the Internet , exchange and said standard . With the popularity of XML applications , more and more data in the form of XML storage and exchange of data in the XML document query requirements also increasingly high . To take full advantage of the XML features to carry out inquiries , detailed study of XML query to improve technology . MarcXchange document is an XML document type , an application in the field of digital libraries can be shared in the Web environment as a common data exchange format . In order to better promote the construction of digital library , the paper also studied in detail MarcXchange document indexing and query technology . The main contribution of this paper are : 1 . Proposed an improved XML index the LI-MOON - based coding , when a B-tree index documents in the XML encoding structured treatment can greatly reduce the size of the index document , which can effectively improve the query speed . For Stack-Tree-Desc algorithm did not use an index to improve connectivity and efficiency , browse some unnecessary nodes to a waste of resources , affect query speed . This paper proposes a new join algorithm to locate the B-tree , to speed up the search to skip unnecessary element of a list of ancestors and descendants . This paper, based on the structure of the MarcXchange document indexing method - Marc_index the index method based on the characteristics of the MarcXchange document encoding LI-MOON , valid between any two nodes of the document tree ancestor / descendant relations and the detection of the parent / child relationship . The innovation of the index is to effectively combine these two methods of the B-tree and inverted index , which integrated the advantages of both , to overcome the defects of both sides to improve query efficiency . Finally , the paper also raises a query processing algorithm based on Marc_index index .
