Abstract

Plant body size and reproductive strategies in sea level have a major impact. At high altitudes, the temperature is low, the growing season is short, and relatively low insect abundance, plant to withstand a relatively large breeding pressure, may adjust their reproductive strategies. Qing Zang plateau alpine meadow vegetation type contains many unique plant groups, how plants adapt to the unique environmental conditions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, when pollinators scarce will take what kind of strategies to reach breeding purposes, currently in this regard The study also rare. Therefore, we have chosen for the study of the eastern Tibetan Plateau alpine meadow nine common insect-borne gender flowering plants, explore the reproductive strategies in an attempt to reveal how plants adapt to the environment, the results showed that: 1. Plant total leaf area, body size, and total spend number between any two showed a significant positive correlation: compared with small individuals, more large individual access to resources. Plant specific leaf area (SLA) with the elevation decreases, this is the plant to adapt to changes in the light environment, plasticity in response to physiological aspects, because of the thickening of the blade can reduce energy capture, to avoid plant photosynthetic apparatus suffered glare destruction. 2. Altitude have an important impact on the plants flower characteristics, and resource allocation, but the altitude on the propagation characteristics of the different species, even if it is the same sibling species differences, indicating different adaptive responses of different species to environmental pressure. In this study, Lilium Baoxing Lily Shandan, genus Delphinium Delphinium Show Mao, Chase Delphinium flower characteristics, Reproductive Investment increases with altitude; the large flower Lomatogonium Lomatogonium rib column flower, the plum genus the fine fork plum flower characteristics, breeding invested decreases with altitude; Gentiana stripes gentian flower characteristics decreases with elevation, Reproductive Investment increases with altitude. Plant reproductive allocation (Shandan except) increases with altitude. Effective pollinators decreases with increasing elevation differences in order to complete the breeding, plant adaptation responses taken. Lilium, Delphinium species increases the floral structure to better attract pollinators, while Lomatogonium, gentian species may increase the rate of selfing as pollinators inadequate compensation. 3 plants flower characteristics, reproductive investment, reproductive allocation has a strong individual size-dependent. But individual size dependence of the different propagation characteristics of the same plant, even if it is the same breed characteristics, body size dependence is very different among species. Reproductive characteristics of individual size dependent plasticity response of plants to environmental the altitude first role in plant size and then influence the reproductive characteristics of plants, plants can adjust the relationship of body size and reproductive characteristics Allometric to adapt to environmental conditions (altitude) changes. From the plant's point of view, the alpine meadow plants through allometric relationship adjust their body size and reproductive characteristics to adapt to environmental changes in the gradient.
