Abstract

Based on the test of imitated-impact vibration compactor, the renovation project on vibratory roller of CA25D is conducted to obtain the industrial prototype. The prototype combines the advantages of vibratory roller and of Impact Roller, achieves the koinonia of the vibration roller and the Impact Roller, strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of compaction and have a better impact on the depth of compaction.Compaction test of the imitated-impact industrial prototype was carried out, meanwhile its operating performance and the comparison test of performance compaction is conducted. The test result shows that using 60~70cm loose pavement and 2mm amplitude, after 12 times’ compaction with imitated-impact vibratory roller, the compaction degree reaches to 89.47% and 86.88%, under 20cm and 30cm depth, however, with the vibratory roller of CA25D, the compaction degree is to 84.82% and 81.37%. Comparing the two rollers, the compaction degree of the industrial prototype respectively increases by 4.65% and 5.51%, and the average consumption only increases 1.5%; with 2mm amplitude, the compaction degree increases 0.65%, the average consumption decreases about 4%, the CBR after compaction have a better improvement, and we can conclude that the stress of soil have a regulate variation of y =αLn(x) +βwith the increase of compaction times. It proves that the imitated-impact method can more effectively enhance the degree of compaction of the subgrade and have a good advantage in deep compaction.
