Abstract


Healthy Cities are new concept, under the guidance of the scientific development concept, which are people-oriented and sustainable urban development model. They are the real space, in which people can grow healthily and live happily. The essential of healthy cities are that, through healthy service, healthy environment and healthy social construction, educates the healthy people who have the strong body, positive attitude and health behavior. Chongqing is the Southwestern regional central city. It is going through the urban and rural co-ordinate development, and its urbanization is accelerated. So the urban population is faced with severe health crisis. At the end of 2008, Chongqing Municipal Government put forward to construct a healthy Chongqing. From then on, health Chongqing construction became one of the new pursuits and an urgent issue which should be addressed rapidly.The thesis through researching on the healthy cities fundamental theory and urban planning fundamental functions, summarizes the healthy cities planning content and points out the problems during healthy Chongqing construction process, which based on Chongqing’s nature environment and urban planning foundations. And what’s more, this paper points out that the material and spatial planning is the breakthrough point, and the cell-projects is drive elements during healthy cities planning and construction. Under these principles, the paper founds the framework and the strategies of healthy Chongqing planning and construction.This thesis is divides into six parts: The first part (Chapter 1) is the introduction. It expatiate the background and origins of the paper and it also defines the content, the meaning and the purpose of this study. What’s more, it analysis the studies of China and abroad, and summarizes the characteristics and shortages of the present studies. The second part (Chapter 2) expatiates the essence of healthy city, which devotes to educating the healthy people with the strong body, positive attitude and health behavior, through comparing the two comprehensions about it. The third part (Chapter3) formulates the relationship between the Healthy Cities and urban planning. The demands of healthy cities just are one of the functions of urban planning. The fourth part (Chapter 4), through analyzing the healthy cities’targets and healthy people’needs, summarizes the contents of the healthy cities planning. Based on the contents, the guideline of healthy cities construction has been established. The fifth part (Chapter 5) points out the problems during healthy Chongqing construction process, which are based on the foundation of its nature environment and urban planning. It has established the theoretical foundation for formulating the healthy cities’strategies below. The sixth part (Chapter 6), under the healthy cities content guideline, founds the framework and the strategies of healthy Chongqing planning and construction, which aims to solve the problems that mentioned in Chapter 5.
