Vector control (VC) is based on motor unification principle, energy conversion and vector coordinate transformation theory. It is an ideal speed modulation method. The asynchronous motor is widely used for its simple construction, ruggedness, high working reliability, relatively low cost, and high environmental adaptability. It is suit for the direction of high voltage, high speed and large capacity. Three-level inverter can reduce harmonic content and voltage endurance of Power device. And it is convenient to realize high sinusoidal voltage output.Tt is easy for three-level inverter to realize large capacity.In this paper we do some deep research with three-level inverter and its application in AC driving, and then design the whole system with DSP.Firstly, this paper introduces the asynchronous motor model, and then the studies the principle of vector control. The topology and principle of three-level inverter are introduced, its circuit equations are deeply analyzed, and the mathematical model of three-level inverter are established based on the switch function. On this basis, mathematical formula for the improved SVPWM is deduced in detail. This paperfully takes advantages of the powerful functions of MATLAB/SIMULINK to set up thesimulation model.This construction is very explicit. The simulation results verify the inverter voltage output is correct, the asynchronous motor’s dynamic and steady state performances and speed modulation are excellent.In the end, the hardware and software systems are designed. We use the three-level NPC inverter as the main circuit and chooses TMS320LF2407DSP as the main controller to complete system software, and design the external circuit. And the software is preliminarily debugged.
