Abstract

White-headed langur (Presbytis leucocephalus) is the world's rare and endangered animals, at the national level to protect animals, the Guangxi endemism animal distribution in the north of Mingjiang, the narrow zone the south of Zuojiang Shiwandashan west. Due to various reasons, the deterioration of the white-headed langur habitat environment seriously sharp drop in distribution, also a sharp decline in population, its endangered status worse than pandas. In recent years, the status of white-headed langur aroused the concern and attention of the people in China and the world. 2002 19th International Primate Conservation Congress, the white-headed langur is listed as the 25 most endangered primates most in need of protection one. Therefore, to enhance the protection and management of the white-headed langur, restore their populations become particularly important. Individual identification in the Shanghai Zoo in May 2007-August only six white-headed langur, division of behavioral patterns to get the day and time distribution, combined with a captive white-headed langur living habits in order to vote based design feeding enrichment experiment program. September 2007 real Shi Fengrong program to explore the impact of feeding enrichment activity rhythm of captive white-headed langur daytime. May 2007 - March, of individuals suspected pregnancy F1 using continuous observation of continuous recording (Continuous Recording) to record all behavior during this period, behavior duration and occurred with the behavior of other individuals information etc., to discuss changes in the time allocated in the different stages of pregnancy \March 2008-May, the Shanghai Zoo, daytime instantaneous scanning nighttime use of sense infrared high definition cameras continuous shooting to get the spring circadian activity rhythms. The study achieved the following results: circadian activity rhythms of captive white-headed langur Spring Spring captive white-headed langur day activities start at 6:00 am and end around 18:30 pm. Night, the white-headed langur four small mobile peak, respectively, appear in the 21:00 pm and 0:30 am, 3:00 am and 4:30 am. Male and female individuals moving behavior difference is significant. Grooming and scratching behavior similar fluctuations in circadian rhythm, but during the day, grooming behavior than scratching behavior frequency of occurrence, and the situation is just the opposite at night. Meanwhile, the scratching behavior occurred throughout the night will be at 1:00 am, 2:00 am, 3:30 am, 4:30 am, 5:30 am and 22:30 pm will be a small scratch peak. Unreasonably gross behavior occurs at night. The play behavior only occurs during the day, and playing peak is mainly concentrated in the morning and afternoon. In addition, the male and female white-headed langur at night resting behavior similar rhythm. Night 19:30 pm -5:00 am, males and females had no feeding, grooming and play behavior. In addition to the rest behavior, this time, the most moving and scratching behavior. 2. Captive white-headed langur Daytime activity time allocation the rest behavior is in captivity to the leucocephalus main daytime activity behavior. In addition, in the case of breeder only fed twice a day, leucocephalus three feeding peaks: 8:00-10:00,14:30-15:30 and 16:30-17:00 . Appears more than once in the third feeding peaks, the langurs to use forelimbs pulled to take the cage outside the plant, together feeding the plant is pulled. The peak period of grooming behavior in 10:00-11:00 and 13:00-14:00. And the white-headed langur rest and feeding peak echo each other. In addition, mobile, scratching and play behavior were no obvious peak periods. The 3 feeding enrichment for captive white-headed langur diurnal activity rhythm has experienced three stages of feeding enrichment captive white-headed langur rest significant frequency differences. At the same time, feeding, grooming and scratching behavior frequency in stage 2 and 3 show a relatively high level and the difference is significant. Move and play behavior frequency difference was not significant. Visible, feeding enrichment for captive white-headed langur of daytime activities generated a positive impact. Experienced feeding enrichment, increase captive the leucocephalus's \Enrichment, the reduction in the behavior of captive white-headed langur rest, feeding, grooming and scratching behavior increased for tourists showed better mental outlook. 4 suspected pregnancy, there is a big difference between individual seasonal changes in individual F1 F1 daytime activity time allocation in the month of daytime activity rhythm. The rest, moving, feeding, scratching and playing behavior of the time allocated significant difference between the different months. The different months F1 grooming behavior assigned day and time the difference was not significant. The same time, the zoo experience some difficulty to determine whether an animal is to conceive, pregnancy test piece due to its limitations and it is not suitable for this type of individual, you need to try other adjunct.
