Abstract

The research of thermal conduction process of dispersion infiltrates lots of science fields and includes many branches of learning. It is an immature subject up to now because there are many kinds of dispersion materials with different characteristics. Dispersion is formed by loose depositing of solid particles in gas phase or liquid phase. It is a kind of special porous media, which leads to the difficulty of research its thermal conduction. Its research has great theoretical meaning and wide application prospects.Firstly, the development of the heat conduction in dispersion and the basic theory of Distinct Element Method are introduced. Secondly, dispersion material is represented as a network of heat reservoirs associated with each particle, and thermal pipes associated with the contacts. Assuming that heat flow occurs via conduction in thermal pipes that connect reservoirs, with radiactive and convective heat transfer not considered. Based on the heat transfer equation and Fourier theory, the heat conduction formula of a single particle is derived. Based on the PFC2D software, the simulation of heat conduction in iron particles is given, meanwhile, the temperature distribution during particles is mapped. Then the influence factors of porosity态radius and initial temperature on heat conduction are analyzed. The numerical results show, the higher porosity the particle is in, the more rapidly the heat transfers; the larger the radius, the more rapidly heat transfers; in the precious, the influence of initial temperature is greater, then weakened gradually.
