Abstract


The United States is the most powerful country in the modern world, "American-style" democratic political system also have a wide-ranging and profound impact. The United States is a country of the presidential system, the most important characteristics of the political system is the separation of three powers, checks and balances. In order to maintain balance, the United States Congress, the president and the court are restricted by each other.In this paper, there are five parts. The first part is about when the U.S. Congress has been come into being. The second part describes the structure and organizations of the U.S. Congress, it also tells the functions of the characteristics of Senate and House of Representatives. The third part narrates about the U.S. Congress and political parties. The political parties influnce the Congress election and legislation. Part IV discusses the separation of the three powers of the United States, it contains Congress and the president, Congress and the courts, Congress and government, this part is also the focus of this article. Part V makes advances about the political system of the United States , on the one hand, the political system is adapt to the American conditions and the separation of three powers system is also a typical representative in the world, on the other hand, it reflects the essence of the American which is the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie.
