With the rapid development of China's motorcycle industry and consumers to improve the product quality requirements, a motorcycle quality problems caused by engine knock has become an important issue currently plaguing manufacturers. To solve this problem, the engine factory, the engine manufacturers will engine abnormal sound detection. However, the current engine knock detection method is still stuck in the subjective evaluation method, the subjective and can not be quantitative metrics. Therefore, a need for an objective analysis methods for diagnosis of engine knock. Around the engine knock diagnose this topic, read a large number of foreign literature and contrast a variety of analytical methods based on wavelet analysis method has a good effect on the engine knock recognition. For the analysis conducted in-depth research, get the ideal engine knock analysis and diagnosis effect. Paper first describes the engine knock analysis methods, such as traditional Fourier analysis, the short-time Fourier analysis and order analysis, and for engine knock characteristics pointed out the shortcomings and defects of these methods; same time, for non-steady state characteristics and transient characteristics of the engine knock, pointed out that the time-frequency analysis is an ideal tool to analyze the signal. By comparison with other time-frequency analysis method, the wavelet analysis method is more suitable for engine knock signal analysis. Wavelet analysis is considered a major breakthrough in signal analysis and processing methods in recent years in many areas of engineering. However, the choice of the mother wavelet has restricted the development of the method, different mother wavelet signal analysis results are often very different. To solve the problem, this paper wavelet energy spectrum, selected from all 15 categories in the original Matlab wavelet function Complex Morlet wavelet cluster analysis as wavelet basis functions; simultaneously for the two parameters - the wavelet bandwidth Fb center frequency Fc Kurtosis coefficient maximization criteria selected wavelet Shannon entropy minimization criteria; engine knock signal to verify the mother wavelet selection accuracy and validity. The 110cc engine knock problem, using selected mother wavelet calculate the energy spectrum of the wavelet. Wavelet energy spectrum analysis, wavelet energy spectrum can be effectively observed the instantaneous signal pulse ingredients, reflect the superiority of the wavelet analysis. The method can effectively identify Engine Knock Signature satisfied; extract wavelet coefficients as feature parameters to provide data to support the diagnosis of engine knock. C5.0 algorithm combined with wavelet feature extraction to establish the engine knock diagnostic model, and verify the accuracy of the model of engine knock diagnosis.
