In the present paper, Han River Bridge (68+2x112+68m) of the Lao He Kou is taken as the project background, and the time-history analysis, the node dynamic load excitation module in the finite element analysis software named Midas/Civil, is adopted. The effect of the large span railway bridge structure transverse vibration caused by pier design parameters is discussed. At the same time, transverse vibration of the pier- beam as an integrated system is analyzed in the paper. The main contents of this paper are presented as follows:1.The finite element analysis model of the bridge is established by means of finite element analysis software Midas/Civil.And the rationality is verified through the comparison with values of the bridge-natural vibration frequencies and lateral dynamic response tested in loading test.2.Two method, multi-bearing excitation and node dynamic load excitation, are used in the Midas/Civil time history analysis. And the result suggests that the former exists zero drift, the latter with great mass method can obtain reasonable time-response result.3. The effect caused by the change of common design parameters is analyzed in structure transverse vibration including pier-section, material strength and weight of the pier.It concludes that the round shaped pier-side has the best performance;the higher concrete strength does not improve the transverse vibration performance of the structure;the large pier weight improve lateral vibration performance of the pier while weakening the lateral vibration performance of the superstructure.4.The concept of the pier-beam stiffness ratio is proposed in the paper, and lateral transverse vibration of the pier beam as an integrated system is analyzed. It concludes that the pier-beam stiffness ratio consists the four phases affecting the lateral fundamental frequency and the lateral transverse vibration response of the structure; the vibration analysis for the pier-beam system should not simply ignore the effects of the piers.
