Abstract

Astragalus is commonly used in Chinese herbal medicine Chinese herbal medicine in a qi solid form , enhance immune and health care , the protection of consumers in today's health , eliminate pollution, calling for a healthy animal food craze , Astragalus also become in recent years, ecological farming immunostimulants commonly used , in order to study the Chinese herbal medicine as a herbal feed additives in pig production performance , this study Astragalus experimental . Were selected around 20kg Duroc crossbred pigs 50 , divided into five test groups were of Astragalus ordinary powder group ( 1 % the Astragalus ordinary powder in feed ) , Astragalus superfine powder 0.2% group , Astragalus the ultrafine powder 0.4% group , Astragalus ultrafine powder 0.6% group and the control group , each treatment three replicates . The research immunopotentiator phagocytosis of fattening pig growth performance, blood biochemical indicators and mouse peritoneal macrophages . The results show that : astragalus the ultrafine powder group of average daily gain than of Astragalus ordinary powder and control groups raise 10.29% (p lt; 0.05) and 15.43 % ( p lt; 0.05 ) , the the astragalus the ultrafine powder group of several doses daily gain the difference was not significant . Serum total protein content , Astragalus ultrafine powder group than of Astragalus ordinary powder group and the control group increased 17.60% (p lt ; 0.05 ) and 12.32% (p lt; 0.05), of Astragalus ordinary powder group than in the control group increased by 4.7% (p gt; 0.05), the difference was not significant . Infer astragalus the superfine powder as immunostimulants can improve the growth performance of the piglets , improve feed utilization , increased serum total protein and albumin content , to promote the generation of immunoglobulin (IgG, IgM) , enhanced mouse peritoneal macrophages macrophage phagocytic function . Through a series of experiments showed that Astragalus both ultrafine grinding or ordinary powder, as pig feed additives are to promote growth , fattening weight gain of growth-promoting agent , mice immunological tests verified astragalus powder on animal the immune role It is suggested that Astragalus can be used as animal immune enhancer , and also be used as a clinical therapeutic agents , but from the economic benefits of up to consider astragalus the ultrafine powder than ordinary astragalus powder affordable . The paper also herbal feed additives as well as astragalus in livestock production and veterinary practice application status and development prospects were discussed.
