Abstract


As the representative works in“poetry sinology”stage, the status of "Mao Shi Gu Xun Zhuan" is extremely important. Also“Shuo Shi”has the very vital significance in“Mao Zhuan”.This article attempts backward source for“Shuo Shi”in the related pre-qin Confucianist ancient books. And inquire into the cultural root of "Biao Xing Shuo Shi". At the same time it compared with the points of Mao Xu to clear about the value of "Mao Zhuan".The introduction part has made the explicit definition to"Mao Zhuan" .And elaborated the research situation and significance of "Mao Shi" briefly. The first part traces the thought and material origin of“Mao Zhuan”. These thoughts and materials mainly can be found in the pre-qin Confucianist ancient books include "Confucian analects", "Mencius", "Xun Zi", "Li Ji", "Zuo Zhuan" and so on . Through tracing to the source in detail, this article carefully examined the question which "Mao Zhuan" inherits. Actually speaking,“Mao Zhuan”has profited from the pre-qin Confucianist’s thought idea as well as the material content, not just from someone. When analyzes the origin of each material, this article also has compared“Shi Xu”with“Mao Zhuan”to explain the origin of“Mao Zhuan Shuo Shi”comprehensively.The second part analyzed the cultural root of“Biao Xing Shuo Shi”for its aspects. It displays the way of“Shuo Shi”with“the metaphor”in form by receiving the influence of the pre-qin people’s thinking mode. Another aspect ,it displays in making false analogies or strained interpretations to ethics and the politics teach. When analyzes these characteristics, this article also talked about“Shi Xu”. This received the influence of using the poem in pre-qin and the point of Shi Xu.The conclusion part mainly elaborates the value of“Mao Zhuan Shuo Shi”through seeking its origin.
