Abstract


Novels created by Zhang chengzhi can be divided into three periods according to their creating time , spiritual characteristic and region background: at the beginning of the eighties ,the end of the seventies, early novel is regarded to livings in the grassland .At the middle period of the eighties, the medium novel regards Tian Mountain of Xinjiang as its region background.At the beginning the 1990s ,the end the eighties, later stage novel is created according to Loess plateau background.Zhang Chengzhi’s early novel has spirit recalls.Exchanging with nature makes it spiritual.It also shows that the writer makes up his mind to turn to free will and free life,which makes the novel own speciality of the mysticism.At the middle period of the eighties, spirit pursue of writer has changed, which makes the spiritual intension and aesthetics style of novel turn. The will of superman that " challenges " has appeared in the novel in middle period, writer’s spirit resists appear accord to the challenge and surmounting of novel personages, novel personages are the spirit continuity in an early novel to natural prostrating oneself.In latter stage of the eighties, the beginning of the 1990s, Zhang Chengzhi showed one batch and had religious color, described the novel of religious history, the novel has expressed the thought that the author pursues religious spirit, the courageous and upright heroism and many Ge suffer a calamity or disaster spirit is the main content that the writer recommends and praises highly among the religious novels then.The transition of Zhang Chengzhi’s novel spirit is the surmounting and breaking through constantly of author’s individual spirit, it is the appearing of author’s individual spirit, label the orbit that author’s spirit changes and develops.
